Ok, I promised a quick review of the Gazelle Edge I purchased for $94.

Overall, I like it quite a bit. It is really fun with music, and just as well in front of the tv. There are 3 general exercises that work best, leaning forward which works the tri's, leaning back which works the bi's , and the third is treading on it briskly with knees slightly bent. The level of workout denpends on you. The faster you go the more you burn. There are no resistance settings like on the Freestyle, so it is up to you to set the level of workout. If you want a stiff workout, it will deliver. It will drench you in sweat if you want it to. But the cost, mixed with the fun factor, adding the high quality workout, I have to say this is a must own if you are on a budget. I do plan on posting a before and after pic pretty soon. I love this product.

Ugh. I saw the story on FOX news and just felt so bad for Cmdr Lippold. He was my XO on the USS Shiloh, a guided missle cruiser from 1994 to 1996. I was a low ranking HM3, but remember him very fondly. He was hard working, fair, and a helluva shipmate...for an officer. Just a little enlisted jab there. I went ahead and bought the Gazelle Edge. I saw it Academy for $94 dollars and thought, you will me mine. Oh YES! You WILL be mine!!! Yeah, it's a little sissy, but just look at it. If it turns out to be a bust look at all the weaponry and loose scrap metal you can glean from it. You can easily manufacture two potato guns out it, easy. Club, and chain the two handle grips together and you got a pair of nun-chucks ready to cave some skulls in. But we'll see how it goes. I actually got a decent workout on it last night. Got me sore in the upper body and calves. Anyway, I'll keep you posted.

Oh and an exercise tip. Download iTunes. Select 'Radio'. Click on Electronica. You get all kinds of electronic music..all are different tempos, choose the best for your workout. Goa is a nice tempo for me. Gonna go jump on the Gazelle now.

Consider:

- Ambassador Giller and other Israeli goverment represenatives being allowed sufficient time to present their position.
- Fox seeks out the best and brightest of the Right to make their case, i.e., Malkin blasting Hezbollah on O'Reilly two nights ago. That kind of in-your-face condemnation of Hezbollah just is not to be found elsewhere.


If the Israeli point of view was not getting out, and if left to the MSM, God knows it wouldn't get out....how far behind would we be? Just imagine for a moment that FNC did not exist. Imagine this whole war between Israel and Hezbollah is being reported by the likes of Katie Couric...Brian Williams...Wolf Blitzer...Anderson Cooper...Keith Olberman....Terry Moran...do I have to go on? Well, anyways, I don't want to go on a MSM bashing expedition, just Thank God for FNS. That's all.

August 2, 2006 -- There is no excuse, nor should there be any tolerance, for anyone who thinks or expresses any kind of Anti-Semitic remark. I want to apologize specifically to everyone in the Jewish community for the vitriolic and harmful words that I said to a law enforcement officer the night I was arrested on a DUI charge.

I am a public person, and when I say something, either articulated and thought out, or blurted out in a moment of insanity, my words carry weight in the public arena. As a result, I must assume personal responsibility for my words and apologize directly to those who have been hurt and offended by those words.

The tenets of what I profess to believe necessitate that I exercise charity and tolerance as a way of life. Every human being is God’s child, and if I wish to honor my God I have to honor his children. But please know from my heart that I am not an anti-Semite. I am not a bigot. Hatred of any kind goes against my faith.

I’m not just asking for forgiveness. I would like to take it one step further, and meet with leaders in the Jewish community, with whom I can have a one on one discussion to discern the appropriate path for healing.

I have begun an ongoing program of recovery and what I am now realizing is that I cannot do it alone. I am in the process of understanding where those vicious words came from during that drunken display, and I am asking the Jewish community, whom I have personally offended, to help me on my journey through recovery. Again, I am reaching out to the Jewish community for its help. I know there will be many in that community who will want nothing to do with me, and that would be understandable. But I pray that that door is not forever closed.

This is not about a film. Nor is it about artistic license. This is about real life and recognizing the consequences hurtful words can have. It’s about existing in harmony in a world that seems to have gone mad.
